MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517117601 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 26, 2025, for 'apparatus and method for estimating soh.'
Inventor(s) include Park, Jun-Cheol; Kim, Young-Deok; and Kim, Ji-Yeon.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus for estimating SOH, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a profile acquisition unit configured to acquire OCV profiles for a plurality of OCVs of a battery measured at different points in time; a profile correction unit configured to adjust a preset reference positive electrode profile and a preset reference negative electrode profile to correspond to the OCV profiles, thereby generating an adjusted positive electrode profile and an adjusted negative electrode profile; and a control unit configured to extract a diagnostic factor regarding a positive electrode involvement start point for a battery from the adjusted positive electrode profile, and to estimate an available lithium SOH of the battery on the basis of the extracted diagnostic factor."
