MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517110714 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 13, 2025, for 'apparatus and method for estimating soh.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus for estimating an SOH according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a profile obtaining unit configured to obtain an OCV profile for a plurality of OCVs of a battery, the OCVs being measured at different time points; a profile correction unit configured to generate an adjusted positive electrode profile and an adjusted negative electrode profile by adjusting a pre-configured reference positive electrode profile and a reference negative electrode profile to correspond to the OCV profile; and a control unit configured to extract at least one of a diagnostic factor related to a positive electrode participation end point for the battery from the adjusted positive electrode profile and a diagnostic factor related to a positive electrode change ratio for the battery from the reference positive electrode profile and the adjusted positive electrode profile, and estimate a positive electrode SOH of the battery on the basis of the extracted diagnostic factor."
