MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617016431 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 13, for 'apparatus and method for diagnosing battery.'
Inventor(s) include Choi, Soon-Hyung; Yoon, Seo-Young; and Kim, Young-Deok.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for diagnosing a battery, which are capable of diagnosing the state of a battery by considering overpotential. The apparatus and the method for diagnosing a battery, according to the present invention, diagnose the state of a battery on the basis of a correction profile obtained by removing overpotential from a battery profile, and thus do not force charging and discharging at a reference C-rate in order to diagnose the state of the battery."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/012800.
