MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517132041 A) filed by Flexergy Ltd., Edinburgh, U.K., on Dec. 26, 2025, for 'apparatus', systems and methods for handling pressurised gas.'
Inventor(s) include Codd, Paul John; and Hofmeister, Tobias.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Apparatus' (10; 110; 210) for compressing a gas (G), comprises a first container arrangement (12; 112; 212) comprising one or more first containers (16A; 116A; 216A), and a fluid communication arrangement (18; 118; 218) configured to provide fluid communication between a source of a compression fluid C and the first container arrangement (12; 112; 212). The first container arrangement (12; 112; 212) is configured to receive the gas (G) to be pressurised. The apparatus (10; 110; 210) is configured and/or operable to direct the compression fluid (C) to the first container arrangement (12; 112; 212), the compression fluid (C) being incompressible or substantially incompressible so as to form a fluid piston acting on the gas (G) contained in the first container arrangement (14; 114; 214), thereby compressing the gas near-isothermally (G). Also disclosed is an apparatus for near-loss-less transferring of a pressurised gas (G)."
The patent application was internationally filed on May 30, 2024, under International application No.PCT/GB2024/051390.
