MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092056 A) filed by Dainichiseika Color & Chemicals Mfg. Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 25, for 'antiviral agent, antiviral resin composition, and antiviral article.'
Inventor(s) include Hayashi Kozaburo; Otaka Koyomi; Ogawa Shingo; Kato Shuhei; Hayakawa Hideki; and Doi Seiji.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is an antiviral agent with which it is possible to prepare a resin composition capable of producing an antiviral article having exceptional transparency, the antiviral agent having exceptional safety. An antiviral agent containing (a) 2,2'-iminodiethanol represented by general formula (1), (b) 1-[(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]dodecane-2-ol, (c) 1-[(2-hydroxyethyl) amino ]-tetradecane-2-ol, and (d) a N-hydroxyethyl-N-[2-hydroxyalkyl] amine such as -[(hydroxyethyl)amino] alcohol (C=11-14, type 2). Formula (1): RCH(OH)CH2NHCH2CH2OH. (In general formula (1), R represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-16 alkyl group.)."
