MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056698 A) filed by Isu Abxis Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on June 12, for 'antibody binding specifically to asm protein.'
Inventor(s) include Cho, Kyueun; and Cho, Jeongin.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an antibody specifically binding to the acid sphingomyelinase (ASM) protein and a use thereof. Particularly, the antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof according to the present invention binds specifically to the ASM protein with high affinity, and thus can be used for detecting the ASM protein or diagnosing diseases arising from the overexpression of the ASM protein."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 16, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/018407.
