MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517070237 A) filed by Icosavax, Inc., Seattle, on July 23, for 'antibodies against metapneumovirus fusion (f) protein and uses thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are epitope-specific antigen-binding molecules specific to a human metapneumovirus (hMPV) Fusion (F) protein, in which the antigen-binding molecule comprises a variable domain that contacts the hMPV F protein. The antigen-binding molecule specific to an hMPV F protein comprises a heavy chain and a light chain. Further provided are methods for detecting antibodies specific to an hMPV F protein, a method comprising: a.) contacting a biological sample with an hMPV F protein; and b.) contacting an epitope-specific antigen-binding molecule with the hMPV F protein."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/085719.
