MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003445 A) filed by Bml Munjal University, Gurgaon, Haryana, on Jan. 17, 2024, for 'anti-theft assistive system for four-wheeler.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An anti-theft assistive system for four-wheeler includes a platform 1 installed underneath chassis of a four-wheeler, an imaging unit 2 for determining spacing on chassis, multiple extendable rods 7 each coupled with clamping units 3 integrated on platform 1 via a dual axis lead screw 4 for translating clamping units 3 for affixing platform 1 underneath chassis, a communication module for wirelessly connecting microcontroller with a user's computing unit 5 for activating a rescue mode, a accelerometer 6 monitors speed of four-wheeler, in case of receded speed, a actuator integrated within rods 7 extends for positioning platform 1 towards ground surface, in case of exceeded speed, multiple wheels 8 rotates in opposite direction of four-wheeler to slow four-wheeler, a GPS (global positioning system) module for monitoring real time location of four-wheeler to enable user to track four-wheeler and take necessary actions."
