MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517086086 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 10, 2025, for 'anode, composition for anode dam coating, and lithium secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Choi, Ye Rim; Kim, Dong Hyun; and Cho, Hyung Suk.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A composition for anode dam coating according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an aqueous binder, the aqueous binder comprising one or more types of compounds selected from the group consisting of polyacrylamide (PAM), polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylic acid, polyethylene glycol, and polyacrylonitrile. A composition for anode dam coating according to an embodiment of the present invention suppresses the occurrence of pet-edge on an anode since the surface tension of the composition is as high as the level of a slurry for an anode. Additionally, a dam coating layer formed from the composition for anode dam coating shortens the sliding length of an anode active material layer, thereby reducing the NP-ratio reversal risk of a lithium secondary battery."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 25, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/014545.
