MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517083838 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 3, 2025, for 'anode, anode dam coating composition, and lithium secondary battery.'
Inventor(s) include Choi, Ye Rim; Kim, Dong Hyun; and Cho, Hyung Suk.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An anode dam coating composition according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a cellulose-based compound. The anode dam coating composition according to one embodiment of the present invention has a surface tension as high as that of an anode slurry, thereby suppressing the formation of an anode fat-edge. In addition, the dam coating layer formed from the anode dam coating composition allows the sliding length of the negative electrode active material layer to be shortened, thereby reducing the risk of NP-ratio reversal of a lithium secondary battery."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 25, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/014544.
