MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411067519 A) filed by Amity University Haryana, Gurugram, Haryana, on Sept. 6, 2024, for 'an oscillatory combustor assembly with two combustion beds and working method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include S B Gupta; Neeraj Gupta; and Abhinav Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention pertains to an oscillatory combustor assembly with two combustion beds and working method thereof. The present invention provides an oscillatory combustor with two combustion beds, which utilizes the Rayleigh principle in acoustics to convert heat addition into acoustic energy. The combustor design incorporates two combustion beds located in the lower half of the combustion tube, optimizing the conversion of heat energy into acoustic energy and thus improving combustion efficiency and heat transfer. This design allows the use of inferior quality fuels, achieving temperatures as high as 1100 C to 1200 C, suitable for efficient gas turbine operation."
