MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521128150 A) filed by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, Maharashtra, on Dec. 17, 2025, for 'an orthodontic device method of preparation and its utility thereof.'

It features a transparent window to visually confirm wax levels, and the spring-loaded plunger ensures precise delivery of wax through the nozzle. The device is portable, easy to use, and allows for efficient wax application with a simple method of operation, including the ability to replace the wax cartridge for continued use."
