MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053215 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 27, for 'an organoid culture method for predictive drug toxicity screening.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Lovely; and Pinky Kothari.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an organoid culture method for predictive drug toxicity screening using a cell preparation unit, matrix formulation unit, organoid culture chamber, environmental control module, medium exchange manifold, dosing module, sensing and sampling interface, imaging module, assay processing unit, and toxicity scoring processor. The method forms reproducible three-dimensional organoids, maintains controlled maturation conditions, administers test compounds under defined schedules, acquires multiparametric response data, and generates a toxicity index for compound ranking, thereby improving preclinical prediction of organ relevant toxicological responses."
