MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010569 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 31, for 'an optimized vehicle chassis apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Soham S. Gajare; S Arun Prasad; Vedant Summanwar; Sajeed Shaikh; Dr. Mandar Sapre; and Dr. Nitin Solke.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an apparatus (100) for a chassis designed to provide improved structural support and load distribution within a vehicle. The chassis apparatus includes longitudinal frame members (102) extending along its length, multiple transverse cross-members (104) connecting the longitudinal members, and a centrally positioned structural lattice (106) formed by angled and interconnected members to stabilise the mid-section and enhance rigidity. In a paraphrased form of the independent claim, the invention comprises a chassis apparatus having longitudinal members, cross-members, a central lattice structure, a front reinforcement region (108), and a rear reinforcement section (110) cooperatively arranged to strengthen the frame and manage operational and impact forces. The configuration enables balanced load transfer, reduced deformation, and improved structural integrity during vehicle operation and crash scenarios. This apparatus provides a robust frame architecture suitable for supporting various vehicle components while maintaining overall stability."
