MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053201 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 27, for 'an optimized gate design for injection molding.'
Inventor(s) include Sudhir Singh; and Dr. Rajeev Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An optimized gate design for injection molding is disclosed, comprising a runner interface region, a transition chamber, a metering throat, a flow conditioning segment, a cavity discharge opening, a controlled land portion, and a vestige-control edge arranged between a runner channel and a mold cavity. The gate provides progressive melt transition, controlled flow resistance, directional discharge, and predictable freeze behavior, thereby improving filling uniformity, packing efficiency, dimensional stability, vestige quality, and overall molded part consistency under varied processing conditions."
