MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002329 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, New Delhi, on Jan. 8, for 'an optical wireless communication system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An optical wireless communication system is disclosed. The system includes a transmitter assembly including an array of transmitter optics (101) adapted to emit optical signals. The transmitter optics (101) is positioned ahead of each LED in an array of LEDs. The transmitter optics (101) is adapted to one of restrict and expand the emission of the optical signals from each LED to a predetermined half angle and direct the optical signals from each LED within a predetermined coverage area. A receiver assembly including at least one receiver optics (502) is adapted to receive the optical signals from the transmitter assembly. The at least one receiver optics (502) is adapted to concentrate the received optical signal from the transmitter optics (101) onto a photo-detector within a predetermined Field of View (FoV)."
