MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541092482 A) filed by Lightmotif Automation Sensors And Systems Private Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Sept. 26, 2025, for 'an optical delay line system and a method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Manas Srivastava; K Pradnya; and Krishna Shyamsunder Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An optical delay line system (100) includes a plurality of fiber spools (102); an N-bit switch (104); a recirculating loop (106); and a controller (108) in communication with the plurality of fiber spools (102), the N-bit switch (104), and the recirculating loop (106). The controller (108) is configured to calculate a configuration of an N-bit switch connected to a plurality of fiber spools to achieve the minimum possible delay and determine a recirculation loop count required to realize the desired delay value by recirculating signals through selected one or more combinations of the fiber spools (102). Additionally, the sets the N-bit switch (104) and the recirculation loop count based on the calculated configuration and determined loop count to maintain signal quality and performance at a predefined frequency during delay realization."
