MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007837 A) filed by Engine Factory, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'an oil circulation system for testing oil passages in a high-power diesel engine.'
Inventor(s) include M. Veeramani; A. Murugan; and Mudavath Balaji Naik.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an oil circulation system designed for testing oil passages in high-power diesel engines. The system includes an oil tank with an oil level indicator and filters, a gear oil pump driven by a motor, magnetic oil filters, flow control and pressure relay valves, flexible hoses, and pressure gauges. It circulates 20W50 oil at 8 Kgf/cm through engine passages for 5 minutes, ensuring clear flow to all moving parts before final assembly. This system aims to prevent engine overheating due to blocked passages, reduce rework costs, and improve engine quality and reliability."
