MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019977 A) filed by Indian Council Of Medical Research, New Delhi, on March 18, 2024, for 'an intravenous pharmaceutical medicament for candidiasis infection.'

Inventor(s) include Thomas, Susan Idicula; Chakraborty, Shuvechha; Madan, Taruna; and Metkari, Siddhanath Maruti.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to pharmaceutical medicament or composition or formulation. Particularly, the present invention relates an intravenous medicament of besifloxacin hydrochloride and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients for treatment of candidiasis. Further, the present invention relates to a method for preparation of the intravenous medicament of besifloxacin hydrochloride and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients."
