MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621007681 A) filed by Ve Commercial Vehicles Ltd., Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on Jan. 27, for 'an integrated thermal management and safety assembly for electric vehicle battery pack.'
Inventor(s) include Dasari Sai Srinivasa Chaitanya; and Girish Ranjan.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An integrated thermal management and safety assembly (100) for electric vehicle battery pack is disclosed. Further, the assembly (100) comprising hybrid cooling plate (102). A plurality of enclosed liquid coolant channels (104) extended within hybrid cooling plate (102) and thermally couple with a battery cell. Further, a battery disconnects unit (BDU) mounting zone formed on upper surface of hybrid cooling plate (102). Further, the BDU mounting zone (108) comprises a plurality of micro-channels and configured to extract heat from the BDU components. Further, the plurality of micro-channels includes cell contact zone and BDU mounting zone (108). Further, the coolant is entered through an inlet port and travel through the cell contact area and a BDU mounting zone (108) to absorb heat. Further, the heated coolant from the cell cooling zone and the BDU cooling zone is re-converged within the collection manifold before exiting through the outlet port."
