MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511062126 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on June 30, for 'an integrated reporting quality and financial performance, machine learning prediction model.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Parthvi Rastogi; and Jyoti Jain.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system and method for evaluating the impact of Integrated Reporting Quality (IRQ) on financial performance using Support Vector Regression (SVR). The present method comprises financial and non-financial disclosures to assess the quality and effectiveness of IR in reflecting corporate strategy, governance, risks, and future outlook. By employing SVR, the model captures complex, nonlinear relationships between IRQ indicators and financial performance metrics, delivering enhanced predictive accuracy over traditional linear regression models. The system facilitates scalable, data-driven insights for management and stakeholders, thereby supporting informed decision-making in dynamic business environments. This framework is particularly applicable in contexts where voluntary IR adoption, such as that mandated by SEBI in 2017, necessitates evaluation tools capable of interpreting integrated disclosures holistically."
