MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104005 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 28, 2025, for 'an integrated real-time monitoring and adaptive cost-saving estimation system for ev charging stations.'

Inventor(s) include Dr Manmohan Sharma; Harshit Kumawat; and Abhinav Rajeevu Nair.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present invention relates to an integrated real-time monitoring and adaptive cost-saving estimation system for EV charging stations. The system comprises a data collection and station mapping module to gather the real time data of multiple EV charging station in different geographic regions; an Application Programming Interface (API) integration module utilising the Google Maps API to display EV station markers; a backend computing architecture implemented using a microservices framework; a dynamic slot booking engine configured to manage real-time allocation of charging slots, a user feedback and review subsystem enabling authenticated users to rate and review individual charging stations; a performance optimization module employing cloud infrastructure, load-balancing algorithms, and optimized database queries to support high concurrency and maintain low-latency communication between the user interface and backend servers; a continuous data synchronization module that ensures bidirectional real-time data exchange between each EV charging station and the central server; A dynamic cost calculation engine to compute the estimated charging cost; and a payment gateway interface to process payment through multiple modes. The present system is a comprehensive web-based system for real-time electric vehicle (EV) charging station monitoring, user-interactive booking, and personalized cost-saving estimation. The system displays live availability of EV chargers using an interactive map, enables users to review and book stations, and offers a dynamic EV calculator to visualize financial savings compared to petrol/diesel vehicles. Real-time updates occur every 10 seconds, and backend logic ensures secure and timely data processing, booking, and user feedback collection."
