MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621002401 A) filed by Prajakta Narendra Pednekar; and Yash Dattatray Kapse, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 8, for 'an integrated electric weed removing and weed collecting machine.'
Inventor(s) include Prajakta Narendra Pednekar; and Yash Dattatray Kapse.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an integrated weed removing and weed collecting machine for agricultural applications. The machine comprises a structural frame mounted on ground-engaging wheels, a cutting rotor positioned to cut weeds at or near ground level, and a conveyor-based weed transfer system arranged adjacent to the cutting rotor. The conveyor-based system transfers cut weeds away from the cutting zone and conveys them into a weed collecting container mounted on the frame. An electrical control system including a control unit and motor driver units controls wheel drive motors, the cutting rotor motor, and conveyor motors. The machine may be operated manually, remotely, or automatically and may include a camera for remote monitoring. Immediate collection of weeds after cutting reduces weed regrowth, improves crop yield, lowers labor dependency, and provides an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical weed control."
