MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084935 A) filed by Shoolini University Of Biotechnology And Management Sciences, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Dec. 13, 2023, for 'an innovative nanofluid integrated fl-pv electro-thermal system.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Sushil Kumar; Dr. Robin Thakur; Dr. Raj Kumar; Dr. Raj Kumar Saini; and Dr. Arvind Singhy.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an electro-thermal system with enhanced efficiency of solar power generation and heat utilization. Furthermore, the present invention combines cutting-edge components, such as a Fresnel lens (1); a liquid spectrum filter (2); a photovoltaic panel (3); a heat exchanger (4); a hot water outlet (5); a cold water inlet (6); a water tank (7); thermocouples (8); a water pump (9); a multimeter (10); battery (11); a dual-axis solar tracker (12); and a Lux meter (13). Moreover, the present nanofluid-liquid filter employs ZnO nanoparticles to boost thermal capabilities significantly. The system achieves a remarkable 28.85% increase in electrical efficiency and a 6.96% enhancement in thermal efficiency. Overall, the present invention promises substantial advancements in renewable energy and sustainable heating applications, making it a groundbreaking solution for harnessing solar energy."
