MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053786 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 28, for 'an in-situ biosynthesis method for sustainable bioplastics production.'
Inventor(s) include Ramish Maqsood; and Neeraj Agarwal.
The application for the patent was published on June 5, under issue no. 23/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an in-situ biosynthesis method for sustainable bioplastics production using a feedstock conditioning unit, sanitation interface, biosynthesis reactor vessel, inoculum module, nutrient modulation module, sensing and control module, gas exchange assembly, biomass retention line, harvest outlet, and recovery preparation unit. Renewable carbon feed is conditioned and biologically converted under controlled nutrient limitation to achieve intracellular polymer accumulation. Integrated monitoring, cell retention, and recovery-oriented handling improve feed adaptability, productivity, process continuity, and sustainability in biodegradable bioplastic manufacture."
