MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104198 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'an improved screw assembly.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Jeet Prakash Sharma; Dr. Iqubal Singh; and Mohan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An improved screw assembly (100) is disclosed, incorporating a spring (102) positioned before a washer (106), a rotating wheel (104) attached to one end of the spring (102), and tolerance-enhancing rings (108) on a nut portion. The spring (102) absorbs shocks and vibrations, while the rotating wheel (104) provides controlled motion and alignment within a groove on the washer (106). The tolerance-enhancing rings (108) improve grip and resist loosening under vibration or thermal expansion. Together, these components distribute mechanical loads evenly, minimize friction, and enhance fastening performance. The assembly (100) offers superior load-bearing capacity, vibration resistance, and durability, making it suitable for use with both robust and fragile materials across industrial, automotive, and structural applications."
