MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511101902 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Oct. 23, for 'an implantable biosensor device for neurotransmitter level detection.'

Inventor(s) include Jigisha Anand.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses an implantable biosensor device (100) for real-time neurotransmitter detection in neural tissues. The device comprises a microelectrode array (102) coated with a nanostructured sensing layer (104), a signal processing unit (106), a wireless module (108), and a biocompatible encapsulation (110). It detects neurotransmitter-induced electrochemical signals, processes them through amplification and filtering, and transmits data wirelessly to an external receiver (112). Power is provided through inductive coupling (114). The device enables continuous, selective, and long-term neurochemical monitoring for diagnostic and research applications."
