MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421076461 A) filed by Advik Hi-Tech Pvt. Ltd., Maharashtra, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'an impact durability test rig - for mechanical & hydraulic tensioners.'
Inventor(s) include Patil Prashant Vishwanath; Jadhav Abhay Rajaram; and Gawade Shyam Balaram.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An Impact durability test rig (A) includes having short stroke pneumatic cylinder (7) is provided to give impact load on chain tensioner (test component) (8). Short stroke pneumatic cylinder (7) is fitted on the connecting rod (5) fitted to the eccentric cam (4). Back side of pneumatic cylinder (7) is provided with pneumatic supply which is controlled by pneumatic pressure regulator to give desired impact as per requirement. This is achieved by varying pneumatic pressure. Pan-type load cell (6) attached with pneumatic cylinder (7) to count load at every cycle. Screw Jack arrangement (10) driven by servo motor (12) is provided to move the test component (8) up/down to adjust the gap between tensioner and pneumatic cylinder (7) to achieve impact load, at desired frequency with desired amplitude which is achievable by interchanging of different eccentric cams (4)."
