MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411072245 A) filed by Minda Corporation Limited (Starter Motors & Alternators Division), Rewari, Haryana, on Sept. 24, 2024, for 'an external fan alternator assembly.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an external fan alternator assembly (100). The external fan alternator assembly (100) includes a housing (1) comprising a front end bracket (2) and a rear end bracket (4). The front end bracket is removably attached to the rear end bracket and defines a space (3) therebetween. A cover (10), a portion of the cover being receivable in an extended portion (11) of the rear end bracket, and is defined with a sealing surface (10a) about an inner circumferential surface on a side facing the front end bracket. A rotor assembly (5) rotatably disposed inside the space of the housing (1). The rotor assembly having a rotating shaft (6), one end (6a) of the rotating shaft is receivable in the extended portion defined in the rear end bracket and is encompassed by the cover. The sealing surface of the cover is structured to abut against a surface of the rotor assembly."
