MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006571 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'an exhaust system of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Subhash Chand; Gopala Krishnan K. S.; and Shailender Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An exhaust system (1) of a vehicle comprising an exhaust manifold (2). The exhaust manifold comprises a plurality of pipes (3) extending from a cylinder head (4) and configured to allow passage of exhaust gas from a cylinder of an engine. A catalytic converter (5) connected with the exhaust manifold (2) and configured to discharge the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold (2) to an exhaust pipe. A bracket (7) connected with the flange ( 5a) of the exhaust manifold. The bracket (7) comprises a first end (8) connected with a cylinder block (4a)) and a second end (9) connected with the flange (5a) . A body (10) disposed between the first end (8) of the bracket (7) and the second end (9) of the bracket (7). A structure (11) is disposed over the body (10) of the bracket (7) and the structure (11) is configured to absorb the mechanical vibration and thermal vibration."
