MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621030394 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 13, for 'an ergonomically configured ladle with angular stepped grip handle for reduced wrist strain.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ergonomically configured ladle comprising a bowl portion, a neck portion, and a handle portion having a stepped angular grip configuration. The handle includes multiple angularly offset segments forming raised and recessed gripping regions configured to reduce wrist deviation and distribute gripping forces during serving operations. The geometry improves palm conformity and enhances grip stability compared to conventional straight cylindrical handles. The bowl portion is preferably stainless steel and the handle portion may be injection molded polymer. The invention provides ergonomic improvement while maintaining conventional ladle functionality."
