MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621031308 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 13, for 'an ergonomically angled and heat-insulated grip structure for a stainless-steel kitchen pakkad.'
Inventor(s) include Maanya Nanavati; and Tanmayee Puntambekar.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an ergonomic stainless steel kitchen pakkad having an overall length of approximately 263 mm and provided with heat-insulated grip members. Each grip member has a length of approximately 88 mm, maximum width of approximately 58 mm, thickness of approximately 18 mm, and is inclined at approximately 3 C relative to the arm axis. The grip includes a widened support portion and stabilizing projection configured to improve hand conformity, reduce required squeezing force, enhance grip stability, and minimize heat transfer during lifting of hot cookware."
