MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621030395 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 13, for 'an ergonomic pestle with contoured fatigue-reducing grip configuration.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an ergonomic pestle designed for use with a mortar, comprising a contoured handle adapted to conform to the natural gripping posture of a user's hand. The pestle includes anatomically shaped grip surfaces, optional looped grip structure, and balanced weight distribution to improve control, reduce slippage, and minimize hand and wrist fatigue during prolonged grinding and crushing operations."
