MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621031302 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 13, for 'an ergonomic knife with contoured multi-grip handle for improved control and user safety.'
Inventor(s) include Deetya Jaishankar; and Tanmayee Puntambekar.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an ergonomic knife comprising a blade and a contoured handle fixed thereto. The handle includes curved surfaces, finger-support regions, and a widened base adapted to conform to the user's hand and support multiple grip styles. The configuration improves grip stability, reduces fatigue, minimises slippage, and enhances safety during cutting, chopping, and crushing operations."
