The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ergonomic pizza cutter (100) comprising a rotatable cutting wheel (110) mounted to an open-frame handle body (120). The handle defines an internal grip aperture (121) sized for full-palm engagement and includes a thumb intrusion zone (122) and finger support contours (123). The curved geometry distributes applied cutting force across the palm and aligns wrist posture during operation. The cutting wheel (110) is externally exposed to facilitate cleaning. The configuration reduces wrist strain, improves grip stability, and enhances hygiene during repetitive cutting operations. The invention relates to ergonomic hand-held kitchen cutting tools."
