MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311083084 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 6, 2023, for 'an emergency mechanism for a vehcile travelling through a no-network region.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[0076] An emergency system (100) and a method for a vehicle travelling through a no-network region. The emergency system (100) includes a data module (112) to obtain in real-time, a network signal strength associated with the vehicle and data associated with operating parameters of the vehicle. Further, an emergency determining module (114) to track the time being taken by the vehicle to travel through the no-network region. Next, to determine an occurrence of an emergency in the no-network region based on the time being taken, a pre-estimated time required to cross the no-network region and the network signal strength. Further, an alerting module (118) to determine a type of emergency occurred based on the data associated with the one or more operating parameters of the vehicle. Thereafter, to send an alert to an emergency support unit based on the determined type of emergency occurred."
