MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321085573 A) filed by Kanad Innovations Private Limited, Nashik, Maharashtra, on Dec. 14, 2023, for 'an emergency cut-off switch for the torque generating device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter relates to an emergency cut-off switch (106) for a torque generating device (100) is disclosed. The emergency cut-off switch (106) comprises a push-pull switch (212) mounted on a housing (102) of the torque generating device (100). The push-pull switch (212) comprises an extension rod (210) extending outward from the push-pull switch (212). The first end of the extension rod (210a) is pivoted inside the push-pull switch (212), and a second end of the extension rod (210b) is attached to a knob (208). The extension rod (210) is configured to move along an axis perpendicular to a rotational axis (110) of a drill beat (104) of the torque generating device (100). The second end of the extension rod (210b) is moved towards the rotational axis (112) of the drill beat (104) to switch on the torque generating device (101)."
