The electronic almanac (100) includes a user interface (10), a control unit (20), a memory unit (30), a processing unit (40), a display unit (50) operatively coupled to the processing unit (40) and configured to display almanac data including at least a Gregorian date and regional almanac parameters, characterized in that the processing unit (40) is configured to identify a region selected through the user interface (10), retrieve corresponding multi-regional almanac data from the memory unit (30), compute dynamic parameters of the almanac data including sunrise and sunset timings for the selected region using stored regional data, generate or retrieve daily almanac information in an offline operating mode without requiring network connectivity, and output the corresponding almanac data to the display unit (50), wherein the display unit (50) is configured to refresh only when the displayed information changes."
