MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421021025 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Private Limited, Thane, Maharashtra, on March 20, 2024, for 'an electric vehicle (ev) charger.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an electric vehicle (EV) charger capable of deterring a theft attempt for electrical components of the EV charger. The EV charger (100) may include a housing (104) adapted to house a plurality of electrical components (102). An opening (112) may be formed on a back panel (106a) of the housing (104) and may be adapted to provide access to the plurality of electrical components (102). A service door (114) may be removably installed over the opening (112). A locking fastener may be adapted to secure the service door (114) to the opening (112), wherein the locking fastener may be adapted to latch and unlatch by a key designed in accordance with the locking fastener."
