MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202213026319 A) filed by Lalit Mohan Sharma; and Sandy Khippal, Bathinda, Punjab, on May 6, 2022, for 'an electric scooter with auto cut, dual-hand brakes and double shock-absorbers suspension.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electric scooter enabled to provide comfort to the user during operation is described. The electric scooter further comprising a rear brake system comprising a braking lever attached on left handle of the scooter wherein the braking lever is attached to the brake wire and brake wire guard and movement of the braking level. The electric scooter further comprising a rear suspension system wherein an additional shock absorber is installed for centre balancing in which two shock absorbers are fitted. The electric scooter further comprising a battery assembly comprising a plurality of batteries arranged in a way to transfer the load of the batteries evenly along the sides of the electric scooter wherein a charging port is affixed for charging of the batteries, an auto-cut off unit wherein a switch is enabled to disconnect the acceleration circuit when any of the front and rear brake lever is operated for braking."
