MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441069198 A) filed by Sugarcan Innovations Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, Karnataka, on Sept. 12, 2024, for 'an edible polymer composition and a process of preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an edible polymer composition. More particularly, the present inventions provides an edible polymer composition comprising: sorbitol, multi-carboxylic acid, soluble cellulose, and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) either alone or in combination, and optionally functional molecules.
