MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441031564 A) filed by M. Kumarasamy College Of Engineering, Karur, Tamil Nadu, on April 20, 2024, for 'an automatic system for controlling the home electrical appliances using door control.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an automatic system for controlling the home electrical appliances using door control. The automatic system comprises a battery unit, monitoring unit and a door unit. The battery unit comprises at least two batteries (1) (2) configured for providing the power source. The motoring unit comprises a gearbox that transmits power from one component to another while altering the speed and torque according to the requirements of this system. The DC motor converts electrical energy into mechanical motion, whereby it gives necessary torque for the system operation. The door unit (14) comprises a door of a room which serves as a pivotal point for controlling appliances, activating them upon entry and deactivating them upon exit. The tripper unit (18) comprises a magnetic switches comprising: a small tubular shape metal bar with wire connections at the end, where by act as magnetic switch. The connector unit comprises a "S" shape rod, whereby, it connects gear unit with tripper unit. The contact unit (21) comprises a SPDT switch which act as a contact mechanism between door unit and motoring unit for controlling the home electrical appliances automatically. The present invention will reduce the energy consumption in an effective manner."
