MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010406 A) filed by Oralens Healthcare Private Limited, New Delhi, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'an automatic oral and maxillofacial health screening system for providing provisional diagnosis.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides an non-invasive automatic oral and maxillofacial health screening IoT device comprising an audio capturing module; an image capturing module; a plurality of sensors; a temperature sensing module; a power supplying module for powering the said device; a communication device; a processing unit comprising a microcontroller, storage unit, and a display screen; and a wireless transmission module for transmitting the analyzed data on to patient's communication device or to the dentist in real time. The said device provides provisional oral diagnoses by integrating advanced telemedicine technologies and AI/ML algorithms to streamline and fasten oral and maxillofacial health check-ups thereby enhancing oral diagnosis accurately and in more effective manner and reducing the reliance on in-person consultations. Further, the said device allows the doctors to remotely monitor users and provide them expert medical advice and prescription without the need for frequent physical visits."
