MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621006645 A) filed by Mr. Utpat Rukmangat Mukund; Mr. Patane Samarth Savla; Mr. Kale Pratik Kalidas; Mr. Satute Sumit Dhanyakumar; Ms. Khune Samprita Basavaraj; Ms. Patil Dipti Nagnath; and Dr. Kautkar Nitin Uttamrao, Pandharpur, Maharashtra, on Jan. 23, for 'an automated onion storage technology with sensor controlled ventilation using a triangular airflow mechanism.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The Triangular PVC pipe perforated mechanism installed in the conventional storage system with sensors based automatic blower and exhaust fan operated technology is more profitable to farmers as compared to conventional system. This storage system is vertically and horizontally arranged in column and row posture which is coated with perforated metallic plates and storage volume is surrounded by the Triangular mechanism attached at bottom side with blower and top side with Exhaust fan. The blower and exhaust fan is automatically starts with the help of sensors which makes the system modern from the conventional storage structure."
