MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611005551 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Jan. 20, for 'an automated drip irrigation controller based on real time weather data.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ajeet Singh Shekhawat; and Dr. Sarmad Moin.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated drip irrigation controller (100) that regulates irrigation using real-time weather data. The system includes a control unit (101), weather data module (102), soil sensing unit (103), and valve control module (104). By dynamically adjusting irrigation based on temperature, humidity, rainfall, and soil moisture, the invention reduces water wastage, enhances crop yield, and enables efficient, automated agricultural water management."
