MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311089819 A) filed by Shoolini University Of Biotechnology And Management Sciences, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Dec. 29, 2023, for 'an automated container solution redefining seed stratification efficiency.'

Inventor(s) include Shubham Chauhan; Shivangam Soni; and Brij Bhushan Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a novel solar-powered freezer box designed to optimize the controlled cultivation of apple seeds. Central to this innovation is a compact 2ft x 2ft freezer box crafted from a combination of wood and aluminum, housing an Arduino-based Electronic Unit (EU) alongside a Precision Temperature Sensor. The system's efficiency is augmented by a Solar Panel, angled at 35 degrees on the box's lid, powering both the EU and the Freezing Unit (FU) for energy-efficient operation. Notably, the system orchestrates precise temperature control at 0 degrees Celsius, mirroring ideal winter conditions for seed stratification. This comprehensive solution addresses challenges related to temperature fluctuations, moisture management, and limited control over winter conditions, offering a reliable and sustainable approach to enhance apple seed germination."
