MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088609 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 25, 2023, for 'an assembly for making rolled ice cream.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[0033] A removable instant rolled ice cream maker assembly (106) for a refrigerator (100) is provided. The assembly (106) includes a tray guide (202) removably coupled inside one of compartments of the refrigerator (100), a container (302) coupled inside the tray guide (202), a phase change material (PCM) (304) provided inside the container (302) for absorbing heat, and a heat conducting plate (306) mechanically coupled over the container (302) to conduct heat from the PCM (304). During rolled ice cream making, the removable instant rolled ice cream maker assembly (106) is coupled upside down inside one of the compartments of the refrigerator (100) for a predetermined period for freezing the ice maker assembly (106), once the instant rolled ice cream maker assembly (106) is frozen, the heat conducting plate (306) conducts heat absorbed by the PCM (304) for making the instant rolled ice cream."
