MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010562 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 31, for 'an articulated robotic arm apparatus incorporating microcontroller driven servo motors.'

Inventor(s) include Rishabh Salgarkar; Pranshu Mishra; and Dr. Vijaykumar S. Jatti.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a robotic arm apparatus (100) including an articulated arm assembly (104) mounted on a base platform (102) and actuated through multiple servo motors (106) arranged at its joints. An end-effector (108) is positioned at a distal region of the articulated arm assembly (104) for object manipulation. A microcontroller unit (110) generates pulse-width modulation control signals for coordinated movement of the servo motors (106), and control cables (114) establish electrical communication between the microcontroller unit (110) and each actuator. Motor driver modules (112) mounted on the base platform (102) support signal distribution and power control. The apparatus enables synchronized multi-axis articulation, programmable motion sequences, and stable operational control through integrated electronic and mechanical components configured to perform defined manipulation tasks."
