Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'An Arrangement For Illuminating Design Panels In A Refrigerator' Filed by Lg Electronics Inc.

MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087010 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 19, 2023, for 'an arrangement for illuminating design panels in a refrigerator.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An arrangement for illuminating design panels (102) in a refrigerator is provided. The arrangement includes one or more doors (100) assigned for covering one or more compartments in the refrigerators, a design panel (102) provided ahead of the one or more doors (100), the design panel (102) is etched with design pattern having a transparent region (304) and a non transparent region (304) and a light source (202) provided vertically above the design panel (102) in the door (100) to illuminate the design panel (102). Further, the light from the light source (202) flows through the design panel (102) parallel to the door (100) in the non-transparent region (302) of the design panel (102) and escapes perpendicularly only through the transparent region (304) of the design panel (102), illuminating the design pattern in the design panel (102)."
