MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441068097 A) filed by Bosch Limited; and Robert Bosch Gmbh, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Sept. 10, 2024, for 'an apparatus to detect air bubbles present in oil in an oil flow passageway.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus 100 for detecting air bubbles present in the oil flow passageway 120 is described. The apparatus 100 comprises an oil flow chamber 100 comprising the oil flow passageway 120. An inlet 130 is in flow communication with the oil flow passageway 120 and supplies oil thereto. An outlet 140 is in flow communication with the oil flow passageway 120 and withdraws oil away therefrom. An ultraviolet light source 150 is positioned proximate to the oil flow passageway 120 and emits a beam of ultraviolet light through the oil flow passageway 120. An ultraviolet receiver 160 is positioned proximate to the oil flow passageway 120 and receives the beam of ultraviolet light from the oil flow passageway 120. A display unit 170 is in electronic communication with the ultraviolet receiver 160 and displays a signal characterizing the beam of ultraviolet light from the oil flow passageway 120."
